A late example of the Bourbon roses, its 3" to 4" blooms appear in clusters, mostly in the spring and occasionally later in the year. It is one of the most striking of Old Garden Roses. |

| BLOOM DESCRIPTION: | Flower Size: 3.00" to 4.00" Cluster Size: 3 to 5 Petal Count: 30 to 40 'Variegata di Bologna' flowers are fully double, cupped, globular and white, streaked with purplish red. When the blooms open they are quartered, but later they are open. The blooms occur in clusters of 3 - 5. The blooms are large (3" - 4") and occur in clusters. |

'Variegata di Bologna' is a distinctive and beautiful rose but it requires rich soil, the absence of which may make it susceptible to black spot. Mulching and addition of compost will be rewarded by a stronger plant with many more blooms. |
