'Danaë' flowers are medium-sized, opening from dark yellow buds to creamy white, double blossoms with prominent yellow stamens.

'Danaë' is a large shrub or moderate climber with dark yellow buds that open to creamy yellow-white clusters of medium-sized, double flowers. In the fall it has a nice display of small orange-red hips.

'Danaë' forms a large 5' by 5' shrub, or it may be used as a moderate climber that will reach heights of 8' to 10'. The canes are slender and smoothly arching.

'Danaë' produces a lot of canes once established, and should be pruned by about 1/3 annually. The canes have relatively few prickles which makes it nice for training on a fence or wall.

'Danaë' tolerates shade well and only needs a few hours per day of direct sunlight.

'Danaë' may be propagated by cuttings or ground layering.
