"Winecup" flowers are small (1-1/2" - 2"), cupped, semi-double, and a distinctive bright burgundy purple-red wine color, with an irregular white eye area around the loose golden stamens.

The petals may have streaks of white radiating from the stamens, and the upper petals frequently curl inward toward the stamens.

INFORMATION:

"Winecup" was thought to be the once-blooming old Boursault climber, 'Purpurea' but its color is the only characteristic that it shares with that rose.
