'Katy Girl' is a beautiful well-mannered climbing sport of "Katy Road Pink", raised by Ray Ponton of Taylor, Texas. This picture shows a number of young plants along a rail fence, shortly after they were planted.

'Katy Girl' has definite but "well mannered" climbing tendencies, and it requires some support.

'Katy Girl' blooms open a deep, rich, rose pink with prominent golden stamens.

As the blooms of 'Katy Girl' mature, the color fades to a lighter shade of rose pink and the stamen color darkens slightly as well.

When planted along a rustic fence, 'Katy Girl' will quickly cover the fence with foliage and blooms. Since this rose is a prolific and continuous bloomer.

'Katy Girl' flowers are large (3" - 4-1/2"), semi double (15 - 20 petals), and "blown" in form. The flowers are loosely open and flat.
