| ANECDOTAL INFORMATION: |
Ray Ponton, the breeder of this wonderful rose, asked for permission to name it after my wife, Juanita Lawtum Cooper. Several years ago I wrote a "Lesson About Life" and put it on my web site. I called this little article "Things I Learned About Life From Roses And My Wife", and I described the finest and hardiest rose in the garden of my life. Ray was touched by this article, and he wanted his new rose to be named for her. So, 'Sarah Juanita' became the offical name of this beautiful rose. |
