An identical rose "Gilbert's Red", has been found growing in the Texas Hill Country near Boerne, and its oral history extends back to the 1850's. | "Victoria Evergreen China" flowers are double, deeply cupped, and 3" in diameter. The leaves curve inward, giving the bloom a ball shape as it opens. |
| GENERAL INFORMATION: | "Victoria Evergreen China" is a found rose that was collected Evergreen Cemetery in Victoria, TX. It may be a sport of the original 'Cramoisi Supérieur'. The medium sized blooms (2" - 3") are crimson red, cupped, and double. The blooms occur in clusters and have occasional small white stripes along the petals. The growth habit is bushy, erect, and vigorous. |
