'Eglantine' is a wonderful rose that is rarely see these days in commerce. It forms a small, compact, vigorous bush that is almost continuously in bloom.

'Eglantine' The blooms are single, and dark pink, bordering on purple, with prominent white eyes that set off the golden stamens.

This is a small, vigorous, bushy plant with single, fragrant, carmine pink flowers that have white centers and many yellow stamens. It is rarely seen in commerce these days.

R - Repeat. 'Eglantine' is almost continuously in bloom. It starts blooming in mid-April in the Texas Hill Country, and repeats throughout the summer and fall until frost.

'Eglantine' is a small compact plant with very showy flowers. Therefore, it is ideal for low bedding and hedging applications, and should grow well in a large pot.

 
ANECDOTAL
INFORMATION:

'Eglantine' is a very rare rose that is not commonly found in commerce. I obtained my first specimens from Fred Boutin, who found it in the gold mining country in California.
